Raven’s Brew Deadman’s Reach Coffee
Trying out a new coffee bean today and sadly it was mainly because it was the only bean at Safeway that wasn’t “ground” or cheap crap (aka Starbucks).
Usually I like to know when the bean was roasted when I drop over $10 bucks for a bag of coffee, but usually when you pay that kind of premium it’s a bit better than the former mentioned above.
I approve of this bean. Why? It’s doing exactly what it advertises. Top of their list is: “Jump-Starting Your Morning” and I reply to that by saying, “Hell yes it did”.
Properly buzzed.
I see this all the time on websites and don’t know what the companies are thinking. This is a terrible User Experience interrupting the user when they first get to the site with this kind of nonsense.
If I’m at all interested in your product, I’ll gladly “sign in” but otherwise, get that shit out of our face until we’re ready for it.
Checked out the Destiny Beta today and dug it for the most part. Not sure if I like the idea of a FPS MMO or not but it’s very polished from what I’ve seen so far.
The design aesthetic is great. Use of subtle UI is very welcome and gives it a modern sci-fi vibe that something like the art direction in Prometheus.
I might wait awhile before devoting any time to this and see how the community responds first.
Plotting my first novel the old school way. Really enjoying it so far, feels good to step away from “everything digital” and just focus on the work.
Saw the DVD box for one of Arnold’s new films Sabotage and thought, wow, he’s starting to look like Clint Eastwood. Doesn’t quite have that mean dog demeanor though.
I grew up with Road Warrior and came to love Mad Max (the original) slightly later.
Beyond Thunder Dome is a mess, but Miller’s heart wasn’t in it at the time due to his producing partner’s death during the production at some point.
I’m hoping this will be a return to the form of the original two and everyone can…have a lovely day!
Back in the day Insomniac was top tier PlayStation. The Ratchet & Clank series ruled (unless you preferred Jak & Daxter, in which case: arguments) and it had nailed a perfect mix of run and gun controls and ‘what the hell did I just shoot’ weapons. Why any of it was happening didn’t matter, only that felt great doing it.
I’ve been pleased with the Ratchet and Clank series (and recently been playing through A Crack In Time which has had some of the best mechanics in the franchise, so I’m cautiously optimistic about this.
It does have that “repackage to younger audience” stink on it though. So, we’ll see.
